BRAIN FUNCTION:
A 2016 study demonstrated a change in sensory-motor integration occurred after the spinal adjustment predominately in the prefrontal cortex. A change in the prefrontal cortex would affect behavior, ability to focus and organize attention, complex planning, and the ability to ignore external distractions.
This is one of the reasons we see such amazing changes in children struggling with ADHD or staying focused in school or behavioral issues.
(The Journal of the Neural Plasticity, 2016, “Manipulation of dysfunctional spinal joints affects sensorimotor integration in the prefrontal cortex: A brain source localization study.”)
HORMONES:
A 2015 study demonstrated measurable changes in the neuro-endocrine mechanisms after an adjustment of the thoracic(mid-back) spine. When the spine is not moving properly or is misaligned, it increases the sympathetic tone of the nervous system which plays a significant role in visceral(organ) disease.
A corrective spinal adjustment decreases this tone thus influencing hormones through this neuro-endocrine pathway and as a result increases the health of your body.

IMMUNE SYSTEM
A 2004 study found:
98% of patients with dermatitis, allergies and asthma had vertebral misalignments!! -
Correction of spinal misalignments improved itching symptoms of chronic dermatitis by 88% and skin appearance of dermatitis patients by 72%
Allergy symptoms improved in over 70% of patients who received adjustments. Vertebral misalignment is a common factor in patients w dermatitis and asthma - x-ray findings dictated the care
Dermatitis patients receiving no adjustment had NO IMPROVEMENT
